Second Sunday
Seems Sunday is my day to post...
This morning I: got up early, and went for a nice long walk. I was gone almost an hour. Then I came back, stretched, showered and got dressed. Ran over to the grocery store for pumpkin coffee, which they'd run out of :( and bought shower spray instead...Method cleaner for the walls..my home remedies were not doing it. Got bagels for Greg and I..pumpkernickel...yummmmmmmm. Came home, made regular coffee with a sprinkle of cinnamon, and here I sit. We're going out to the farm later to get more apples, and maybe some other tasty veggies.
Later I am making a tomato pasta soup..and I just realized I'm not sure I have anything to store it in...hmm. Further investigation is necessary.
Greg has grading to do. And I have a job where I don't have to bring it home with me! Unless I don't keep up on my group notes...but so far I am ahead of the game.
This last week was rough - 2 really tough days in a row. One tough because it was long and filled with kidlets...kidlets who don't always behave well. I've heard words from a 2 year old that *I am not comfortable saying, and I can have a potty mouth when I want to. The other was tough because I spent a LONG time on the phone doing a screening that I'm not sure went anywhere, and I know it was taking this woman incredible courage to leave...and her English was not great thus making it REALLY hard to communicate. Ugh. I hope she came to the shelter over the weekend.
I adore the women I work with. ADORE them. This makes it worth it.
I am so content with life right now. So supremely happy.
Yesterday Greg and I went to Pet Smart to look at kitties...it's only a matter of time, kids. I need a furry companion to add to the mix. Bed Bath and Beyond yielded some goodies as well - a mat for the kitchen floor, a kitchen timer, some sheets...thanks to Lisa's gift certificate! Yay!
