They should put a health warning out on the radio before any time they're gonna play anything by The Smiths. No, I'm not joking. Seriously. They put stuff out on the TV before violence or nudity or whatever so you can decide whether you want to expose yourself to something potentially upsetting. Well I want to know when I'm gonna be subjected to Morrisey's depressive whining because it actually makes me want to jump out the window or at least curl up nd cry for a couple hours. Nobody needs that.
If people want to listen to The Smiths, that's fine. I just don't want to be cruising along ok and then suddenly find myself weeping into my cold tea because I've unexpectedly drifted into the cloud of depression they exude.
...
'Take me out tonight
Where there's music and there's people
And they're young and alive
Driving in your car
I never never want to go home
Because I havent got one
Anymore
Take me out tonight
Because I want to see people and I
Want to see life
Driving in your car
Oh, please dont drop me home
Because it's not my home, it's their
Home, and I'm welcome no more...'
