When Morning comes....

I thought I was just going to rest my eyes, but when I felt the warmth of the sun coming into the cave I knew I had fallen asleep. I woke up and Dawn was still there, curled up beside me, but Lilah still hadn't returned. For a moment I actually was worried about her.

I stood up and brushed myself off. I walked out of the cave for a few moments and found some berries on a bush. I untucked my shirt and started to fill the tails of it with fruit. I was starving and I was sure Dawn was as well.

She had started to stir and I was glad that I wouldn't have to wake her up. I never had a sister or brother and so I never had to wake someone up... I had seen Angel in the morning and I never wanted to wake him from slumber.

"Hey there.... I hope you got some rest. I found some fruit outside you should eat something."

I dropped some berries into her open palm and sat beside her.

"So... our Lilah didn't make it back last night. Even though it pains me to say it.. feel like trying to find her?"
