Oh my what we have to go through with teenagers and with this family so much. I don't know if you know but with my ex we sort of raised two girls. They were 7 and 9 when they came to live with us and I saw them through college, marriage and now children. I was only 17 when they came to us and well now I'm 47 so figure it out. One would always push all the buttons she would bring boys home and smoke and do other things that would try and get reactions the other was the model daughter head of her class super nice to everyone and always helpful while her sister skipped school and did all the bad stuff. I had so many conversations with them it was always so hard. One thing I did was take them both to NYC and I had them walk from Battery Park all the way up to Central Park on a Monday. Why a monday? Well, on a work day in NYC on this walk you will see almost everything in life from the richest to the poorest and yes they even got to see 3 celebrities. They saw street walkers, religious people and I think people from every walk of life. I had told them that they had to observe everything and write it down and the one who got the best description of what we saw would get to buy a new outfit at Bergdorf's. Well, in the end they both got new outfits and it was really educational for them. The bad girl changed for the better and the good girl changed in a way that was also good. She opened up and they both communicated more and well it was really something. I still go to NYC every year and anytime I take someone who is not familiar we do this walk even though very long and all day they all learn. I highly recommend. Maybe it would be good for the family to visit and try. I don't know we never seem to have the right answers but in the end it is worth it all. Joe

Yes I was a pup when I got them and it was a joy I would never regret, luckily I had support to help with their mother had a lot of issues and could not take care of them full time but she was right there to pitch in many many times and their paternal grandparents as well. They knew I needed to have a life as well and the girls were great about it all. No I have not posted anything serious that I have written I did one little thing a long time ago and that was it. Joe
