I took the longest bike ride of the season both yesterday and today. Kind of pathetic, since it was 15 miles yesterday and 19 today. I only have 275ish on the odometer since January. Perhaps this week will mark a reversal of that trend.
Tomorrow I plan to bicycle to
NEFFA (6.5 miles each way). If the weather prediction holds, and nobody signs me up for a midmorning meeting Friday, I am going to try to do the out-and-in plan where I leave my car overnight and bike home and then back in the next morning. (This was the purpose of today's ride -- I will likely be dead by soreness despite yesterday's and today's practicing, but it would be worse without said practicing.)
Then, not having had enough exercise (ahem), we put in the first part of the dock. We have acquired a second set of waders, and this made it much faster, because it's just slow to don and doff a wetsuit, plus you don't get as cold in waders. Of course there's a limit to how deep we can go, so it's just the first three segments, but still, that's enough to be useful for kayaking and windsurfing.
I was surprised to learn the water is 51 degrees already. So perhaps I will in fact go windsurfing sometime. The other day I looked at the waves and thought about it, but I had believed the water much colder, so I didn't. I think it was also colder air temp as well.
I have discovered that I post here a little less than I used to, since Twitter gave me 280 characters. Sorry about that... You can read all about our #BlackLivesMatter sign
