Hot phone

And no, I don't mean it was stolen.

Twice now, my phone has gotten very hot in my pocket, and been unresponsive. Both times I took the battery out for half an hour to let it cool down, and it worked fine after that. The first time was in Las Vegas, the second time was today, so about 3 weeks in between.

This time, the battery was at 67% after charging to 100% yesterday and having some usage, not sure if the amount of usage was consistent with 1/3 battery depletion, but probably. Looking at the battery monitor usage graph, there is a sharp drop right at the end. I'm charging it again now (not sure if that's actually wise). I can't remember what happened last time with battery usage, but it took longer before I realized there was a problem then and I let it get much hotter.

I wonder if this means my battery is dying, or the phone is got a virus that makes it go haywire and use tons of power, or what. The phone is not quite a year old. (Galaxy S4 mini.)
