oh look - it´s a sympathic character who tries to understand his friends instead of punching them as soon as he spots them. How unusual!

All hail for the Norse Gods!
(great..just had a typo that said "Nose Gods")

Thor has every right to be pissed and to storm in and uses his hammer to fry things. And possibly punch some people.

He cannot reconcile that traitorous creature with the mortal man he had grown to respect and love
neither can we, Thor, neither can we...

even if he does not love Steve in quite the same way.
ha, found the Steve/Tony!

as if expecting a blow and resigning himself to it
poor Tony...

why does fanfiction make more sense than actual canon?

Thank you! Your comment made me laugh so hard. How unusual! indeed. God forbid we try to talk to our friends about the crappy things they've done. :O We should just attempt to kill them instead. That's how real friends work out their issues.

D:

Alena, I don't feel that I should have to share the big bed with you! Even ASKING me to share with you compromises everything we've shared together! I refuse to listen to anything else you have to say! HAVE AT YOU! *attacks with electric hammer, does +50 damage*

BIIIITCH.

Guh ;___; You of course already know how I feel about this~ but it makes me ache for Thor to come down and BE HIMSELF and HELP Tony instead of beating the shit out of him :( Pls to make it better *wibble*

I'm pretending the beating-the-shit-out-of-Tony thing didn't happen. Because the last time Thor and Tony decided to attempt to beat the crap out of each other, the moment Thor actually dealt a serious blow he was like "WAIT WAIT TIME OUT." Granted, he hit Steve, but he was equally pissed off at both of them and he'd already tossed Steve into a platoon of soldiers once, so it wasn't like he called a time out just because it was Steve who showed up. Not to mention Tony wasn't actually a mess at that point.

Also, Thor has a picture of the three of them in his throne room or whatever in Asgard. THAT COUNTS FOR SOMETHING, MARVEL.

*wibbles and goes to hide in Classic Avengers era*

Thor isn't like that ;_______; Thor is an HONORABLE dude. Loyal to a fault.

Hmm, apparently Thor beat Tony up after Steve's death? Not surprising, as today's comics seem to prefer confrontation and negative emotions over the positive values of friendship. *sighs*

This was really well-done, Alena! I think the line that got me was Tony expecting a blow like a beaten animal and not defending himself. He's truly all alone now (until Thor).

I don't know all the details of Civil War but I do know enough that it puzzles me as to why Tony would have taken the stance that he did. I've heard the fan theories (which I like) so I'll just hope there's some kind of logical explanation (I know, not holding my breath!).

Tony's paid a great price, and it looks like it might finally destroy him.

I've always loved Thor as a character. He's a good shield brother here. :)

Thank you for your comment. ^___^ I liked the beaten animal line myself, if only because that's really what Tony reminds me of. He keeps getting yelled at and beaten down by people he calls his friends, and he rarely defends himself unless they actually come to blows.

Tony's definitely paid a hell of a price for everything that's happened, and yet, everyone seems determined to make him keep paying until he breaks, regardless of how strong their relationship with him was beforehand. (Somehow, I'd like to think that my brother's first reaction to me screwing up wouldn't be to beat me with an electrified hammer.)

Yeah, the whole Civil War mess is something I pretend didn't happen. Either that, or the entire Marvel U is made up of Skrulls and the real heroes and going to come back to Earth after an adventure in space and be like WTF ( ... )

How much can one soul take?

Somehow I doubt that Steve would be happy with that. He'd be angry and hurt and maybe even cold at first, but he would still forgive in the end, or at least try to understand.

LOL! My sister, too. :)

Oh, Tony. *hugs him, along with Thor* Tony so needed this. And I haven't read the canonical Thor/Tony confrontation, so I join you in your world and deny that it exists. *Jedi-like handwaving*

Thor wishes to ask where the other Avengers are, and why Tony has not drawn upon them for strength in such a difficult time

Ahh, don't we all wonder that, Thor. Of course, now I want to read this version of Thor bitching the other Avengers out. I may possibly have this kind of scene on the brain. *g*

God, I wish canon!Tony had this.

But thank you for giving fanon!Tony a hug! :-)

It's a nice place here. We like happy endings. (Mostly. I've killed characters in other fandoms once or twice. ...Or thrice. Never more than three times. ...Per character.)

Of course, now I want to read this version of Thor bitching the other Avengers out.

*g* I've been thinking about it. No promises.

God, I wish canon!Tony had this.

Canon!Tony has never, actually, gotten anything he deserves. Or at least so far as I've seen. Sometimes you think he does, and then it's taken away from him. Which makes it worse.

You're welcome. It was as much for me as for him. >.>;

Thanks so much for commenting. ♥ I'm a feedback whore. D: I really am.

This... I... I'll come back and comment when I'm more coherent and don't feel like crying.

It's so broken! Everything is broken. :( :( :(

*gives both of them, and myself, a hug*
