I've always been a snow freak. I used to sit at the living room window of the house i grew up in and PRAY for snow. We lived at about 1800 feet, so we got it at least a few times a winter. I would stay out in it all day. Hours and hours of snow play. Riding my pony, or later my dirt bike, or just walking around telling myself stories.
These are memories I've cherished for years. My mom would make us cream puffs for when we finally came back in the house. (My sister would sled for a while, but not stay out as long as me).
Then i went to college in the valley and never again lived at a snowy location.
I think i missed it. A lot. But i didn't know. In town when it snows it just causes issues. So adult snow is never as fun as kid snow. Or is it?
I am very much an adult and I AM LOVING THIS SNOW! i know, crazy. But there are several factors making it great.
1. I don't have to drive in it. In fact, Tammy has the car with the snow tires, so she's been doing all the driving. Sweeeeeeeet.
2. This snow is dry and fluffy. It's not wet or heavy. It's been easy to clear off the drive and porch and doesn't stick to the dogs that much.
3. It is really beautiful.
4. It's made me all Christmassy! Wtf??
5. People here CAN drive in this, so there's no added communal stress due to snow. At least not that i can see.
What's not to like? I will say that if this goes on and on, i might get more tired of it. But i am really loving all this early winter.
We have our tree up. Staying plenty warm, store trips are still doable. I'm good. Happy even. Wow. Maybe i just needed snow. Lol
