The slamming of car doors.
“What if I say the wrong thing?”
A subtle interlacing of fingers.
“Who the hell are you and what have you done with Captain Jack Harkness?”
One eyebrow, cheekily raised.
“I’m serious, Ianto.”
A look that says all he can’t.
“They’ll love you, Jack. I promise.”
A gentle smile that puts him at ease.
“How can you be sure?”
A reassuring hand squeezing his own.
“Because I know they will.”
A few steps closer to the house.
“Ianto-“
A pause and soft smile.
“They’ll love you because I do.”
One kiss that says everything.
