Hey look! I'm home before 7pm for the first time in 12 days! You know how I can tell? Because I'm not still in my office at the college doing endless amounts of graaaaaading. I think Kowalski would have some really random favorite president, like Taft or Harrison, or maybe Teddy Roosevelt. Actually, he'd probably like Teddy Roosevelt - explorer, hunter, liked a good meal, the trust buster - I think he'd appeal to Kowalski's romantic nature.

Hey, it's not random to love Taft! He's my favourite President! (Taft + bathtub = OTP)

And Teddy Roosevelt seems more like a Fraser favourite, from that description :-) Maybe Kowalski likes his mustache?

the mustache, yes. :D But you know - the qualities I think Kowalski would like in Teddy are very similar to qualities seen in Fraser. So, in my mind you've got a young RayK in history class, learning about Teddy and getting kind of caught up in the adventure of it all. Kind of priming his pump for Fraser. (not like that) So when he meets Fraser, he recognizes qualities that he liked before, and he's drawn to them.

Or maybe I'm just rambling. :D

Oooh, no, that's a good theory! And it establishes Kowalski's love for an outdoorsy kind of guy very early on. :-)

I totally can see Kowalski loving Teddy. Especially if he ever heard about the Crowning Moment of Awesome "I have just been shot..." speech: http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/I_have_just_been_shot

(I ask you. How Fraser is that?)
