I've been trying to play it cool about
Passchendaele and TIFF and the rest, but today I cracked and bought two tickets to the gala premier on Sept. 4th. Because apparently? Paul Gross is my master. I'm not exactly happy about this state of affairs, but I suspect I'll soldier on somehow (har har).
I'd also like to support my country's attempts at producing coherent WWI historical narratives. I mean, the Heritage Moments are great and all, but not exactly satisfying. Plus, Gross plays a severely wounded soldier who somehow finds the courage to overcome his past trauma and return to the battlefield.
secretlybronte, will you please come see this movie with me?
