5D's 68

So it's back to the Yami cut thing...

Yaaaaaaay! The trio's in Satellite and they meet up with Martha, Saiga, and the orphans! Crow's orphans, as a matter of fact! So they are with Martha!!!

And the episode starts out with srs bizness-Saiga, as the local hacker-man, has info on that crater where the thing fell.

But then the show gets cracky again when Crow gets teased by his orphans, leading him to try and bring back an old man who left Martha's place or something and won't come back to help.

Said old guy's house is completely surrounded by garbage. Tons of it. And traps too, as Crow masters the art of comedy falling whilst falling into the old guy's traps (Scrap-Iron Scarecrow bodyguard, two pit traps, and a ricocheting floor. My god. This new tone for 5D's is adorable, but feels more GX-y than 5D's-y, really.)

So, Crow lands on an old-style duelfield, where he challenges old man to a duel.

So, boring duel is boring, or would be if it wasn't for Crow's over the top reactions (and they are so preciousssssss~). Because this man has a whole bunch of "Scrap-Iron" traps that reset on the field after one use, which cancel out attacks, monster effects, spell cards, special summons-my god.

So old man has like, only two monsters out, and from what I gather, they're something like "Ma Junk" and "Pa Junk"-and the resident peanut gallery (Yuu, Jack, and Saiga) soon reason that (Well, it's really Yuu and Jack who reason it) that there's a card missing: "Kid Junk", which would make the combo complete. The fact that the man could have summoned it using both Ma Junk and Pa Junk, but hasn't, proves that it's not in his deck for some reason...Yuu figures it out and leaves the duel field.

Apparently, every time Crow duels, something blows up, because the whole junkyard just went and collapsed during the duel. And Crow saves the old man...by jumping into a ridicoulously huge fridge.

...if this fridge becomes a running gag in this show I will love it forever.

Anyways, the house and everything is partially destroyed, and Yuu pops up again (seemingly unharmed by the accident, what) with a family picture. Apparently, this man's wife walked out on him, taking their son (who has somewhat Divine-esque hair, I noticed) with her, and that son has Kid Junk as a memento. So, Crow manages to cheer up the old man somehow, and they all go back to Martha's house, where the old man has fun with all the kids.

He builds them a huge statue out of junk which appears to be...Stardust Dragon. Really now. Wasn't it just Crow that dueled you and gained your respect and everything? Why not Armored Wing or something? While I think the Stardust Dragon made out of junk is cute and all, it just seeemd so out of place.

But the ending is just so "Bawww, adorable", because the old man demands a back rub for all his hard work, and Crow's roped into doing it-which he protests, but Yuu of all people thumps him on the back and pushes him forward to do it, smiles and all (oh, boys~<3 ). And so old man gets a backmassage from Crow. (Lucky geezer...or not so lucky, judging by that crack...)

PREVIEW: CARLYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! :D :D :D Looks like she and Jack are investigating this horrible suave gangster boss like man who...steals decks from little children. Really now.
