FALL CHALLENGE
It’s come around to that time of year I love again: the fall leaves change color, the weather has a hint of a chill, and warm beverages are perfect for foggy mornings. I know that there are a number of you out there who this is your favorite time of year as well. Whether it be Halloween or Autumn that you enjoy; there is excitement in the air and the anticipation of sweet things to come.
My birthday is in October, and there are others who also have fall birthdays, so to celebrate both this time of year and turning a year older, I’ve decided to issue a challenge to anyone willing to participate.
I challenge you to use the following prompt in either a fanart or fanfic:
Any flavor, any color, or the candy itself may be used for this prompt.
The rules are simple; much like forthrightly’s challenges or the contests communities that abound in IY fandom. This is intended for IY fandom, but if I get entries from other fandoms I’m not opposed to throwing them into the mix. J
Rules
1. One of each type of contest entry per person.
2. Label entries with their appropriate ratings/warnings.
3. Place them behind a LJ cut.
4. Message me with a link to where you have posted your entry. Please no locking entries behind f-locks. If you are concerned about posting mature material, please use external links like MM.org, aff.net, or paperdemon.com that have filters.
5. Fanart should be at least a clean sketch and fanfic should be anything at or larger than a perfect drabble (100 words).
I will add entries to a master list as I receive them. At the end I will put up a voting post with screened comments. Winners will be announced on Halloween, October 31, 2008.
Deadline is October 24, 2008. (As long as you message me with your entry before the voting post goes up, you’re golden)
There will be prizes awarded to 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place, and Hostess’s Choice (my choice). Prizes include one(1) fanfic by me of at least 500 words in length, one fanart by me sketched and colored with color pencils, and one customized sock creature made by me. First choice goes to first, second choice goes to second, last prize goes to third and Hostess’s Choice can pick any one of the three to receive. Banners will also go to the winners.
