Home again, bemused

[Edited 11/10 to give credit for the song lyrics]

Arrived home before 11 pm last night.

Amazing work. Gotta do this again, next time for longer.

The 'group' part was amazing -- deep work, one by one, witnessed by all of our peers, both before and after our 'alone' time.

Before:

"What is the change you are marking?"
"Who is the person you are becoming?"
"Who _are_ you?"
"How can you do that?"
"What does it mean to you when you say ___?"
"Are you ready?"
"What do you need to do to become ready?"
"What _are_ you now?"

After:

"What is the story you unfolded?"
"What did you bury, or burn, or shed, or release?"
"What did you gather, or tend, or create, or keep?"
"What does it mean to you to ____?"
"What does this leave you, now?"
"What happens next?"
"Who are you _now_?"

Here are some parts of the story that unfolded for me:

Take a step on the path
That you stand before,
Silently waiting for you
With the promise of more.

Ask a question or two,
Find the meaning within.
Do the answers ring true?
Are you ready to begin?

And when you do there will be here for you
all you need, all you need.

-- Chant from SpiralHeart in the year of the Labyrinth

I can walk long miles as long as I do it one step at a time. I can carry great burdens with ease and it is easier one step at a time.

There is a huge difference between 'I am uncomfortable' and 'I am in danger' -- but sometimes some of my inner voices don't recognize it.

I can tolerate much greater cold than I necessarily enjoy.

Whenever I am cold the solution is movement. Whenever I am stiff the solution is movement. Whenever I am uncomfortable the solution is movement. The sedentary life does not serve me now.

Most of what I have been 'doing' in my regular life of late looks a lot like distraction. Perhaps some of that can be deleted.

Standing on the brink, I am a Goddess with her hair on fire, ready to face down tigers, eagerly seeing what is before me to do and able to just go do it.

I am responsible for every 'obstacle' in my life. I have created it, I have interpreted it as an obstacle, and I can change my interpretation whenever I want. Most 'obstacles' I have created can be simply uncreated by the power of my intention. When the pack falls, I can pick it up -- there's no need for negative judgment. When the tarp slips, the water spills, the silk was left back at base camp ... there's no need for negative judgment. There is only now.

Act now. Did you think you could act somehow in the future?

Speak now. Use everything that is given. Use everything for upliftment and advancement. Act now.

God is self and self is God, and God is a person like mySelf.

May the long-time sun shine upon you, all love surround you;
may the pure light within you guide your way on.

-- traditional kundalini yoga farewell blessing. I learned it from Snatam Kaur.

The journey is over; now the journey begins.

Blessed Be
