"Terrified. I mean," he turns and finds a-holy fucking shit-really tall guy standing next to him. No, like seriously fucking tall. Patrick feels short all day every day, but next to this guy he feels like a member of the fucking Lollipop Guild. "Uh. I'm Patrick."
The man smiles a little and fuck, on top of being pro-ball player tall, he's gorgeous to boot. The universe is just not fucking fair. But at least Patrick knows where his quotient of hotness and height went. He can't be too mad because this guy uses it a lot better than he ever could've.
"Hello, Patrick. Tell me, why are you," he pauses, "terrified?"
"Vampires," Patrick says carefully, quietly. "I have a healthy respect for anything that will kill me and enjoy it. I don't go diving with sharks, either."
"Really? Yet, here you are."

This is I Slept with the Sherrif of Area 9 and All I Got..., by dancinbutterfly. True Blood/Bandom, Eric/Patrick. Short.
I thought this would be a cute little crossover with nothing in it, or badly written, and instead I was pleasantly surprised by the good writing. It's short, which I don't normally like either, but definitely worth reading.
