This is placed before Malekith was the leader of the dark elves and tried to steal his way up to that position (Picture: http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/0/77/127274-162115-malekith.jpg ) and the bifrost has to be traveled in my story.
All other names are made by me (although there is resemblance to existing ones). ;)
Loki: (Picture: http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lxsbzluoDP1qdx71ao1_500.png ) <- kind of how I imagine him to be wild, with long hair and rarely any clothe on.
Oh and I mixed a little porn in it … I really hope this is ok with OP!
Everyone said good-bye to their families, while Thor swung on their transportation a big thing that resembles a ship, loaded with all the things they would need.
Thor was on his newest mission. His father searched for men who would go to the “outcaste world” named Jotunheim searching for a treasured metal called Vibranium it was worth a lot because of its rareness as well as its strength.
This world was an unknown one because Odin himself wasn’t there since he fought the wildlings, the jotuns, centuries ago. Thor’s interest in those people and their land was not very high he just needed a new adventure.
The whole mission was leaded by the dark elf Malekith who seemed to have high political ambitions. Thor didn’t like him plus he wasn’t very interested in the elves anyway. A few of his companions were also on the ship.
Hogun a silent warrior who would always support the jokes of Volstagg, a guy who eats everything that is eatable and when he was on deck he met Fandral, merely a boy who was excited about every story Thor told about his past missions.
After him catching the lad when he nearly fell down the bifrost they fooled around about the amount of jotuns they would kill.
Fandral went with him to the highest point on the ship. “Thor what would you suppose the world will look like?” “Like all the others I suppose I’ve seen a few realms Fandral. … What could possibly be different about this one?”
Down the rest of the crew sang. “We kill ourselv’ a jotun of maybe two or three…”
Thor looked at the farest point on the bifrost he could see, yes what could be different about this one…
-
Laufey was happy when he came home and was met with cheerful jotuns who were happy to see their husbands again.
“I hope the spirits were with you, Laufey!”, his advisor Utgard was giving him a hug.
“It is good to be home old friend.” Laufey then spoke to his people. “The Wymir are defeated with the help of our people our villages are safe again and protected against those ice-monsters.” These creatures appeared from one day to another and destroyed a lot of the land, Laufey was relieved that none of them escaped, for as much as he knew.
Utgard smiled at him and they walked to the palace. “My king, your return has brought much joy to the jotuns. Look at all the happy faces…”
“Yes, but there is one I miss … where is my son?”
Utgard looked sympathizing and his eyes roamed over the distance. “You know Loki he has the spirit of his mother, he goes where the snow takes him.”
-
Loki was standing on the highest spot he could find above a lake and breathed deeply in and out.
Suddenly his friend Nakomu shouted. “LOKI, YOUR FATHER IS BACK, COME DOWN HERE!” He was a shy but cheeky lad and a little younger than Loki himself.
Without thinking about it Loki went a few steps back, ran and jumped right down into the water. “Crazy guy, not this way!!!”, Nakomu shook his head. After Loki dove through the cold water and grabbed him by the hand he pulled Nakomu into the water too, the two of them started fooling around for quite a while.
When they finally lay beside the little lake Nakomu asked. “What were you doing up there?” “Thinking.” Loki replied as if it were the obvious thing.
“About that dream of yours?”
“Well … I know it has to mean something … I just don’t know what!”
“We should go back and maybe your father can help?”
-
Reply
“He is soooo handsome!” Nakomu was melting away while Loki lifted an eyebrow. “Yeah I especially love the smile and his ability to read … wait there was something … ah yes, he can not read!”
He was poked real hard by his friend for that.
“My son!” while the rest of the Jotuns started to prepare a meal talk to their husbands and wives Laufey spotted Loki.
“Father!” They hugged each other.
“Loki, seeing you gives me great joy!”
During the walk to his father’s private quarters they talked about the time they were separated. Loki also wanted to tell his father about the strange dream he had for the last nights.
“Father, I think something great will happen I had a dream!”
Laufey smiled. “Something great has already happened … Sigyum had ask for your hand…” Loki made a face. “Shouldn’t I take a wife like you father?”
“My son I thought you preferred man and he would be the best choice…”
“But Sigyum is so… serious…”
Laufey sighed.
“Loki you are the son of the king and you are old enough to take a husband, or wife if you prefer a female.” He looked serious and went to a window. “Even the snowdrops won’t fall forever someday they will land on the earth and get one with the others…also … they search for the smoothest way and they fall steady, as the steady beating drum.”
His father took a broad bracelet out of a box. “Your mother wore this when she and I were wed… I want you to have it!” Loki held out his arm and his father fastened it around his wrist. “She would be so proud of you, son. I mourn that she couldn’t see you like this.”
When his father made his way to the feast Loki went away from the palace thinking about what his father said… steady… steady as the snowflakes… but they are in no way steady, they dance in the air supported by the wind, everyone of them making its own path having its own patterns… they change the landscape permanently…
Loki ran fast through the iceforest that surrounded him until he finally reached the enchanted icetree his mother showed him at a time he could barely remember. But her soft voice still rang in his ears. “My little Loki, my dear child, if you ever need advice or help when I’m not here this is the place.”
And Loki went often to visit the frost-tree who he called “grandmother” for lack of a real one. When he arrived she greeted him, her voice rough. “Hello child, you weren’t here in a long while. Can I help you.”
“Grandmother… I… I had a dream and I don’t know what it means…”
“A dream? … How exciting you have to tell me everything about it!!!”
Loki took a deep breath. “I walk through the ice-woods and suddenly I see something. The thing looks like an arrow and a hammer together but I couldn’t lift it and suddenly it starts moving faster and faster and I run after it until I wake up.”
The tree looked at him and thought about what he had told her.
“You should listen my child, to know what it means…”
“Listen?”
“Loki all around you the air, the snow and every living thing sings to you, probably you will understand in time…”
A sudden flashlight in the sky caught his attention. “What was that grandmother?” His attention was caught by it nothing like it had ever happened. “I don’t know my child … but you can find it out if you want to.” She winked at him.
Loki smiled and started running to the point where the light had appeared…
-
Thor was happy to finally get off the ship. They travelled weeks through the damn bifrost and landed on an ocean or something like that at least he couldn’t see from the end of the water and on the other side only mist and the shape of land.
With Hogun, Volstagg and Fandral he took a little boat to drive there so that they can reel the big ship in.
When they arrived he immediately jumped up a few ice-hills. When he had a view over the land he was astonished.
Thor always imagined Jotunheim as a dead country but it was beautiful. There were woods out of ice and it wasn’t dark at all, the sun shone on the snow and it had a hundred different colors.
It was nothing like the other realms…

This bit made me laugh hard:
“Yeah I especially love the smile and his ability to read … wait there was something … ah yes, he can not read!”
And I loved this part, it's gorgeous:
When his father made his way to the feast Loki went away from the palace thinking about what his father said… steady… steady as the snowflakes… but they are in no way steady, they dance in the air supported by the wind, everyone of them making its own path having its own patterns… they change the landscape permanently…

He looked a little like a Jotun with a strange color of his skin. Golden hair and clothes he never saw before.
Loki’s breath was caught when he finally saw the face of the man... strong lines and blue eyes, that stranger was… something else. He was astonishing.
When Loki leaned forward to watch the stranger closer, a rock loosened and fell down. Suddenly the man turned around while Loki stumbled back against a wall and tried to hide.
His hand was in front of his mouth catching his erratic breaths his chest was moving up and down in fear. Steps were coming closer and closer.
Someone screamed up the hill and the sound of the steps got quieter.
-
“Thor come down here!!!” The thunder-god was sure he heard a noise back there but duty called or rather Fandral - that Malekith had arrived.
-
The landing of the strange men in Jotunheim was no secret and Laufey knew this kind of people, they destroyed everything in their way the last time they were in Jotunheim.
Utgard confirmed his fears that the Asgardians weren’t here for peace. “They are like Wymirs, the Asgardians will dig up everything in their way, destroying the land …”
“As long as they don’t harm the people or come in our villages and cities they shall remain untouched… Utgard send Jotuns to every village and tell them to stay away from the strangers.”
His advisor watched him while Laufey started talking to his people. “NO ONE IS GOING NEAR THOSE CREATURES!!! We don’t know what they are here for.”
-
Malekith wasn’t impressed by the landscape at all, he wanted to find the Vibranium and get one of the highest statuses a dark elf can claim - he wanted to be in the counsel of Svartalfheim and those oafs of Asgardians will help him.
While the men worked on the tents and unloaded the ship he stood at the side. His rivals at home will be envious of him and the high born ladies will try to be in his company. “Mine, mine all Vabranium is mine … all of it is MINE…”, he silently mumbled before he went to the men and motivated them to start digging.
-
Thor sneaked away and jumped up the hills wandering the land. The sun was not shining so bright anymore.
When he was a child he learned that in Jotunheim the sun only shone for a few hours and then the land would barley be lit till the night. He now could say that it was lit more than enough, like a summer-evening in Asgard you see everything in a different softer light.
“All of my life I have searched for a land like this one…”, he sighed with a little mischief in his eyes he walked on, jumping up the ice and sometimes he nearly fell … but only nearly…
He finally stood high above a waterfall and overviewed the land. It was so different from the tales he heard in the past. Slowly gliding down beside the water he soon could look up the waterfall.
Stones granted a way over the river. When he kneeled and touched the water it was freezing cold. Then he saw something in it … a shadow behind him.
Slowly he was getting up, casually looking in the direction and then he made his way behind the waterfall as fast as he could, slowly lifting Mjölnir.

When the stranger mumbled something Loki risked a glance. The clothes of the other one were shining in bright silver and he had a helmet with wings on each side fastened to his belt.
When they reached a waterfall he hid behind one of the frozen trees and watched the stranger dip his hand into the water. Slowly the blond head turned in his direction and Loki recoiled.
On the other side of his hide-out he slid down, silent as the snow itself he made his way near the river and pecked out from behind a bush. No one was there. Loki was taken aback. Had he lost the stranger? On all fours he crept nearer and nearer, but nobody was there.
Slowly he stood up jumping on one of the stones in the middle of the river.
-
Thor silently watched a creature creep near the river when it stood on one of the stones in the river he slowly readied his hammer.
In a flash he jumped through the waterfall willing to attack if necessary. The picture before him took his breath away.
A Jotun stood before him, eyes as red as a firestorm watching him from beneath the darkest and fulles eyelashes he had ever seen. The face of the man who stood still as a sculpture was stoic only his long black hair swirled around his body like it had a live of its own.
The mist vanished slowly so that he could see the slender body of the blue one. His eyes were like lava burning into his soul. Thor carefully lowered his hammer.
The thunderer kneeled and laid his hammer on the stone below him. He slid into the icy water without flinching even though it was so cold that it stung and slowly walked towards the Jotun who leaned a little back like he wanted to flee. Before Thor could reach him the other one suddenly jumped past him and ran.
“No, wait please!” but the man just ran away, jumping through the land in a pace Thor had trouble to follow.
When they reached another river the Jotun jumped on an ice sheet.
“Please, don’t run off.” The blue one jerked around obviously surprised that Thor had followed.
When he went slowly near him the Jotun watched him, suspicion written all over his face. “It’s all right I’m not going to hurt you.” He carefully offered his hand. “Here, let me help you out of there.”
Grabbing his black hair the other one still looked at him with those deep eyes. “You don’t seem to understand a word I say … “ Thor heavily sighed.

“Listen with your heart you will understand … the signs are all around you…” he took the advice from his grandmother and gathering his courage he carefully laid his hand over the other ones.
When their skin touched Loki felt like he was … home… the snow was falling around them and he moved on the land. When the two of them were only a step separated, a gust of wind seemed to push him closer to the blond man.
-
Thor didn’t know what to say or do, he never had felt this way before. His heart was racing and calming down at the same time.
“Who are you?”
-
Loki closed his eyes and listened to the wind. He seemed to tell him to trust …
“Loki…” he pointed at himself.
“What did you just say?”, the stranger seemed surprised.
“My name is Loki.”, a small smile made its way on his face.
A surprised look was on the other ones face. “I’m Thor Odinson.” Loki watched him closely again.
Suddenly Miko an ice-squirrel came out of nowhere. Loki nurtured him years ago when his family was killed by dire wolfs since then Miko followed him sometimes around. He jumped the stranger … Thor … and bit into something near his neck.
“Hey!” the blonde looked angry at the squirrel. Loki just laughed. “That’s Miko he just likes shining things. Like your amor.”
-
Thor rubbed his neck but couldn’t be mad when this Jotun, Loki, smiled at him like that. The squirrel suddenly lifted his hand and held Thor’s pendant he wore around the neck in his paws.
“Little fellow give that back!” but the squirrel just jumped up a tree and hid the pendant there. When he saw Loki giggle he decided to just let it go.
“I don’t really need it anyway…”, Thor let himself fall in the snow and was surprised when Loki gracefully sat down beside him
“Where are you from, Thor Odinson?”
The question surprised the thunderer. “I’m from a realm called Asgard.”
“Asgard… what is it like?”, big eyes looked at him.
“Well, we have streets and bridges over the rivers the buildings are made of stone and a lot taller than trees and everything is bright and shines in gold and white and other colors.”
Loki leaned in. “I’d like to see these things.” The thunderer chuckled. “You probably will, we will show your people how to use this land. How to make the most of it!” Thor sat up.
-
Reply
“Yes, you could do so much better than living in these frozen houses, you could have decent buildings, made of stone. The Jotuns can learn so much from us, we can bring your people peace!”
Now this was for sure an insult. Loki got up. “You know our buildings are just fine, we even have a palace and peace we have too, as long as the Wymirs stay away.”
He turned around to get away from this person. Thor ran around him and held his hands in a gesture to stop him. “You misunderstand it, we can show you so much. Asgard has improved the live of creatures and savages in so many realms!”
“SAVAGES?!” Lokis hands formed fists.
The look on the Asgardians face was shock. “Not that you are a savage… I … I mean …”
“Just my people are savages?”
As he was going to walk another way Thor held him back by his hand. “Look I didn’t mean it like this!”
“Yes you do and now let me leave!”
“No, I will not let you go!” Lokis eyes widened in surprise because Thor’s face suddenly was only inches away from his. He could feel the breath of the Asgardian on his face.
With a sudden move he yanked his hand free and jumped up a tree, climbing higher and higher.
-
Thor could hit himself for being so damn stupid. He tried to go after the Jotun the frozen branches were not making it easier.
“Wait, I tried to explain that savage is just a word… for people …, people who aren’t… civilized!”
“Like me?” Thor could practically see the lifted eyebrow on the other man’s face.
“No, the meaning … what I mean is…”, he suddenly lost his grip and fell. Landing hard on his back with his hammer knocking the breath out of him, he was surprised by the figure suddenly leaning over him. Loki’s hands on each side of his face their noses nearly touched.
“What you mean, mighty Thor Odinson, is… not like you!”
Thor was speechless…
-
Loki stroked the hair out of Thor’s face.
"You think I'm an ignorant savage and you've been to so many realms I guess it must be so. But still I cannot see, if the savage one is me, how can there be so much that you don't know, you big oaf."
He took the hand of the other man and pulled him with him. “How can there be so much that you don’t know?! Do you really think the only people who matter are you Asgardians?”
-
Loki showed Thor the land with all its creatures and the thunderer had to admit that this realm was indeed even more beautiful when you knew where to look.
When a big bear appeared Thor was ready to fight the beast but Loki put his hand on the hammer and signaled him to silently follow him.
The bear was female and had a few pups.
The Jotun ran with him through the forest showed him where you could find food and on a hill he jumped Thor and rolled with him all the way down.
Loki’s laughter rang in his ears the red eyes of the Jotun shimmered with mischief.
“The tales of you Jotuns are so … different …” Loki had him pinned down. “Well I don’t know what you heard, but my people respect every living thing. The snowstorms and the rivers are my brothers, the dire wolfs and bears are my friends.”
Thor carefully leaned up into Loki, both of them had their eyes wide open. When Thor softly laid his lips on Lokis the Jotuns eyes closed.

Loki had never kissed anyone before, except his father, mother and sometimes Nakomu for fun, and he had the strong feeling he should pull away.
The Jotun seriously considered it until those lips laid themselves on his. It was like time stopped around them and Loki started opening his mouth a bit.
A tongue sneaked its way into his mouth.
All of the sudden the sound of drums made its way through the peaceful silence. Loki jerked up alarmed by it.
“What is it?” Thor seemed to have noticed something was wrong.
“The drums, they mean trouble!” he looked at Thor and stood up, “I should go…”
Thor caught his upper arm. “I have to see you again!”
“I can’t…”
“Please, don’t go!”
“I have to.”
Loki ran off before he was persuaded to stay. While he made his way to the palace his thoughts were occupied by Thor. The man was an uncouth klutz, he insulted him and his people but when Loki explained their ways of living he had listened and understanding was in those blue eyes.
-
When Thor was back in the camp Malekith sat in his tent while his comrades dug up the land. Everything looked like burned down, the trees destroyed and everything full of mud the whole ice had been melted away.
In the following days they built a wall around the camp out of the remaining frozen trees. It was hard to cut the wood and even harder for Thor was that his thoughts were occupied by red eyes and blue skin.
The constant snowing of the last two days didn’t make the work easier.
Fandral watched him closely, “Thor are you alright? You are so quiet these days.” Volstagg’s voice boomed loudly behind them. “Ah, Thor’s just mad that we couldn’t kill a Jotun in all the time we are here!” Fandral wanted to cheer him up. “Don’t worry Thor you’ll get your chance with the Jotuns!”
Hogun just smiled at his friends but pointed out something all of them noticed the last few days. “We are all day working and Malekith is sitting up there in his tent happy as a clown!”
-
“I am doomed!”, Malekith was on this damn land for the past week and nothing, not even a tiny piece of Vibranium.
He looked at all his maps. “What am I overlooking?!” An angry roar escaped his mouth and with one move he cleared away all things on his desk some of them even broke.
Only one book remained after his outburst. While he picked it up to also threw in on the ground he stilled. “The ice-giants and their customs”
“Of course!”, how could he overlook this! The Jotuns hadn’t attacked them but why… because they already have the Vibranium! Malekith knew that the Asgardians wouldn’t attack without a good reason he had to find one in the next days or weeks…
-
Loki heard that his father had ordered every Jotun to stay away from the Asgardians. Nevertheless he had thought only of Thor Odinson the last days. He learned a lot about Asgard when he was a child.
His father had told him stories about how the Asgardians stole from the Jotuns and then banish them so they would never travel the seven realms again. Loki never thought much about the other realms, until recently he was under the impression that he will never be able to see them.
He was equal angry and annoyed with Thor Odinson for insulting him as well as kissing him. But why had he this nice light feeling in his stomach?
At dusk Loki sneaked out of the palace to see the Asgardian again. He wasn’t sure how he would do this and when he arrived at the camp were high walls around it. Slowly sneaking down Loki inspected his surroundings carefully.
Miko made his way to the wall before Loki could grab him. Damn that squirrel!

The thunderer always laughed at the mention of “love at first sight”, he thought it was stupid to love someone you don’t know. But now he couldn’t catch a clear thought for all of those were occupied by “Loki”. A strange name indeed...
Suddenly a squirrel landed on his stomach. “Miko!” Thor grabbed for his backpack and gave the little fellow a biscuit out of it. “What are you doing here?” He patted the animal on the head.
“I have to ask you: Were you ever in lo ... liking someone?” Big eyes looked at him. “Guess not.”
Thor stood up and went out of his tent. It finally had stopped snowing and he went to the wall. Fresh air would clear his mind for sure. Going out was of course strictly forbidden but who cared? Least of all Thor who went right into the woods behind it.
A whistle let him lift Mjölnir until he saw blue skin and red eyes shine through the dark. “Loki, you came!” He stormed right to the Jotun pinning him against a tree and pressing his mouth against those soft lips he dreamed about.
-
Loki was surprised by the kiss but he let himself fall into it seconds later. “We should go!” he whispered after they separated and he took the hand of Thor leading him through the woods, taking the other man to silent place high up in a tree.
They talked until they saw the sun rise. Loki hardly had anyone he could talk to openly except maybe grandmother and it made him feel warm to have a man at his side who could even make him laugh.
-
Thor tried hard to coax one laughter after another out of the Jotun. When the other man talked it was music to him but when a laugh escaped those lips the thunderer thought it was the most delicious sound he ever heared.
Thor told Loki about all the realms he had visited and of course about his family although he didn’t mention he was the prince of Asgard, mostly because he enjoyed company who wasn’t his friends and still treated him like a normal man.
The blue one in return told him about the magic he produced, about the animals in Jotunheim and their traditions. At one point he even let the snow on one branch glow like a candle was lit below it.
When Thor saw the sun rising he leaned over Loki looking into his eyes. “Can I see you again?!” The Jotun just kissed him and climbed down the tree. Thor took it as a ‘yes’.
-
Loki knew he shouldn’t have gone to see the Asgardian again, so he ran home and climbed back into his bed.
In the evening he convinced Nakomu to go with him and get a few silver apples from the trees outside the town. They provide strength like no other food.
“Loki?!”
“Hm?”
“What is it you aren’t telling me?”
Loki looked up surprised.
“I can read you like a book and something is bothering you!”
“It’s nothing Nakomu ... I just ...”
Suddenly his companion let the basket fall to the ground, his eyes growing big and his finger pointing at something behind Loki. “An Asgardian!!!” When the Jotun turned he saw Thor smiling at him. Fast he shut Nakomu up with his hand over the younger ones mouth.
“What are you doing here you oaf! It is dangerous!!!”, Loki hissed.
“I had to see you.” Nakomu shook Loki away. “What are you doing?! You betray your own people.”
“I help my people, we could live together and find a solution for our problems maybe a truce! ... Please Nakomu, don’t tell anyone!”
The other Jotun shook his head. “I’ll cover you - now go!”

“You are one fierce Jotun.” red eyes watched him with laughter glimmering in it.
“I want to show you a special place!”
Taking Thor’s hand Loki pulled the Asgardian with him. When they reached a big willow, it’s leaves frozen, Loki showed him a secret way in. The thunderer looked around. The tree’s branches surrounded them and hid them from the world outside. It was very silent.
He looked at the tree and saw a face! ... or not?
Loki smiled and leaned in. “Did you see something?” Thor shook his head. “No!” he looked Loki in the eyes. “Or did I?”
“Look closer!”
The face appeared again. “Greetings, Thor Odinson!”
“Loki, the tree is talking to me?!”
The other one snickered. “Then you should probably reply.”
“Greetings...”
“Call me grandmother.” the tree smiled at him. “He is a handsome one Loki and he has a good heart.”
Thor grinned. “I like the old lady!”
-
While Thor talked to the tree and they shared secrets about different worlds Loki listened, absorbing every detail.
“Loki, my child, I’m tiered it was a more exciting day than I had in centuries! Good night!”
“Good night grandmother!” the grandmothers face vanished and an ordinary tree was left behind.
Thor had taken off his cloak and they were sitting on it. Loki leaned in and snuggled closer to the Asgardian. “I wish our people would meet each other with kindness instead of suspicion!” Loki looked up and Thor seemed to be in another world. “Yes, that would be nice but when someone wants to fight it is hard to keep them from doing so.”
Loki leaned up and they kissed each other. Thor lowered him to the ground so that he was laid out on the thunderer’s cloak. A side-glance to the tree and Loki giggled. “Don’t worry, grandmother sleeps long and often, she will not watch!”
-
Relief was on Thor’s face.
“I don’t know if you are ready for this...”, a serious face meet Loki’s. “Ready for what?”, the eyes of the Jotun growing wide with innocence before it gave way for understanding.
Thor brought a little distance between them. “I’m sorry I didn’t know that you never had, I’m sooo sorry.”
Loki sat up and pulled Thor down with him.
“It’s ok!”, was everything Thor needed to hear before he started kissing his opposit. His tongue outlining Loki’s mouth, sneaking into it, sucking, biting.
The Jotun moaned when Thor sucked below his ear and hands slowly started to undress him. “Wait!” Loki’s words made Thor distance himself. “I... I’ve never done this before...”
“We can wait!”, Loki looked shocked.
“No, that’s not ... it’s just that you have to be -“
“-careful.” Thor smiled at him. “I wouldn’t do it any different if you weren’t a virgin.”
Loki felt his heart warming. He only knew the coupling of Jotuns which was rough - a fight. The knowledge that he would get the comfortable first time he had wished for was overwhelming. If a high member got married in Jotunheim, everyone is making sure it’s a “real” marriage. Loki had seen newlywed couples fuck each other without affection in public.
A tongue trailed down his throat and ripped him away from his dark thoughts.
