Problem with this is that Marvel Sigyn was always portrayed as a victim of Loki's trickery and some kind of faithful martyr to her oath. Oh course that was a couple of cycles ago. She hasn't reappeared since.
I always saw her as a kind of "I'm going to milk this for all it's worth" type. Just because she's faithful doesn't mean she has to try to help him, which she does. I always figured it was more of a "I can help him while making everyone think I'm suffering!" She is just an amazing actor? Besides, Loki wouldn't waste all that time on her wooing her as Theoric if there wasn't something there. I think she just turned utterly sickly sweet to irritate him. She has to have some influence and power, if only because she got Loki to wear other headgear, even if he hated them. And in the one issue with Loki being just a suit of armor that Sigyn made for him, she totally could've just told the truth from the beginning, since Thor said he'd go provided he was convinced of Loki's innocence in the matter. Instead she lies, then stands there, cheering on Loki. Then when Thor is upset, she turns on the tears and everyone, even Loki, feels sorry for her. Crying on command is the most useful weapon in a woman's arsenal

I find your ideas intriguing and would like to subscribe to your newsletter. Any woman who would marry Loki is either (a) really dumb, (b) really in love, (c) really cunning or (d) all/some of the above. I like the idea that she loves him and supports just as much when he's starting trouble as when he's suffering through the consequences. However, I must admit I have only a passing familiarity with her in the comics so I may imagine her as nicer than she really is.
Well, to be honest, Loki totally tricked her into marrying him, though she gave him the idea of marrying her in the first place. He wanted her to run away with him and she's like 'I'm not living in sin! Oh yeah, and I also have a boyfriend. His name is THEORIC. Remember that, THEORIC. He's one of Odin's CRIMSON HAWKS. Y'know, Odin's personal bodyguards? Just in case you weren't sure which Theoric he was. We're gonna be married in a month! Also, you are evil.' He is annoyed and kills the bf, and pretends to be him. She is suspicious, but doesn't say anything at all and then they're married, when he's all 'oh, btw I'm actually Loki.' And then when Odin tries to say 'hah! in your face Loki! I'm annulling your marriage! And exiling you, because that always works so well.' and Loki's like 'You caaan't! Neener neener!' Sigyn has to add to it by saying' Loki's right! I must join him in his exile! It is my duty!' As she cries, and is pitied. She cries a lot in the comics actually, but I'm still suspicious

Of course I wouldn't mind crafty!Sigyn. It really makes more sense for him to have married a woman who's his equivalent; I feel like he'd get bored otherwise.
Bonus points if you keep her loyal to him (i.e. she'll play tricks on him and lie and be generally mischievous, but at the end of the day she still loves him in her weird way). But I'd really love to read whatever you come up with. =]
Of course she's loyal. It's no good if she isn't loyal and doesn't actually love him.:) Working on it now (5k and counting...), and am waiting on my beta to get back to me on the first bit. She said she'd work on it today or tomorrow but isn't exactly the most reliable person. If I don't hear from her by Saturday I'll start posting anyway. I should probably call her and make her work on it now...
That is kind of disapointing to me. It could be Sigyn being extra sneeky but I'd have to read it for myself to look for sublties in the art and dialog. I sure hope they exist because otherwise her character sounds only half as interesting as she could be.
I like Sigyn at the extreems: either super crafty or super loving. The canon pretty much only allows for the crafty interpretation so I'm going to cling to it! I'd love to read it for myself if you have links.
Actually I think it's meant to be that she just loves him a LOT. Lots and lots. And there is some mutual love going on there (of course it is Loki and he lies) but I think that Loki just kind of has issues with commitment, amongst other things.
Not a fill and not Thor in the comic/movie sense, but there is a GREAT mythology fic that's retells the whole mythology with Loki an Sigyn as central characters. I've been shipping these two like crazy ever since.

Plus, I can totaly see Loki having all kinds of commitment issues, in any/every incarnation.
