I was thinking that I hadn't seen you around so I came to check in. And my response to what you wrote? Well, it's about like this:
Yeah, having had time to think about it I realize that I wanted to like the AMA performance more than I actually did, but that's because the song got lost. There was so much going on. All this? Come ON people, it's just sex. And it's a massive double standard. Also, how can they dump on this face?
I'm guessing that no one is more aware of what this could have cost Adam than Adam. When I think of all the things that were going on that night, I amazed he got the song out at all. I know he's so talented that people forget that's he's new to all this (especially with this level of publicity) but give the man a chance to breathe. In the meantime, a kiss is just a kiss and the rest of it? It's nothing we haven't seen before. Learn to use the remote folks. I'm thrilled to see the album selling so well.

First of all, I completely agree about the song getting lost. Adam really did just get caught up in the moment standing on that stage in front of so many people he admires and wanted to impress. The sound was pretty awful, but his vocals had some real moments. The production was WAY overdone, too much happening at once. Rehearsed yes, but not enough. Adam Lambert doesn't stumble, he's been on stage too much.
I think the limited rehearsals (and I say this because he just put the band together like a week before), a big case of nerves, having to go on after GaGa, being the uber-hyped closing act, and the focus on his sexuality over his giant talent was just overwhelming. So I forgive the problems. I will love him NO MATTER WHAT.
Yep, it's just sex. (Okay, it's GREAT sex.) He's gay. He kisses boys. Get over it folks. Just focus on the MUSIC and the fact that he's really, really beautiful!
I AM a parent and I know it's my responsibility to watch over my kid (or it was, she's mostly an adult now), set boundaries (yeah, make the joke in your head), protect, etc. Why don't other parents get this idea? Like I always say: If you don't like it, don't watch it!
