Lyle let himself into his mom's house. It was late, and he didn't want to wake her up. He just needed to pick up a few things, and he'd been in the area. He eased quietly up the stairs towards his room.

Lyle knocked on the door of Aiden's apartment, shoulders hunched against the invisible stares that he still couldn't believe weren't there. The whole idea of having a boyfriend, and no one caring... It was wonderful, and terrifying. He bit his lip, waiting. Maybe he should knock again? No. No. It wasn't taking long, he was just nervous.
