Sam returned from his class and started pacing his room.

Sam decided to go and visit Claire at work. He took a shortcut through an alley in town, not really aware of all the chaos that was going on.

Sam was still stewing over last night's television broadcast.

He'd been out in the swamps fighting voodoo priests and Claire had been flirting with another guy.

Sam was in a better mood than he had been in all weekend.

Claire's father had left town and he could actually leave the house without being afraid of getting killed.

He ran his hands lightly up her bare back, having missed this kind of contact.

By the time Sam made his way up to bed, Claire was asleep. Sam had a bunch of cardboard boxes and packing tape.

He sighed and looked around. It was going to be hard, but he needed to pack up Lilly's things. There was a storage area in the school where he could put them until her family decided what to do with them.

Sam woke up with a start, his heart racing and his breath coming fast.

He sat up and glanced around to get his bearings. Claire was in bed beside him, still sleeping. They were in Logan's house still and everything was fine.

The nightmare had him on edge though and he slipped out of bed and went to sit in the chair, looking out the window.
