Madness
Madness abounds outside my office for 'tis the first day of classes for the year. I bravely forged out amongst the masses on my bike to fetch a salad from the Refectory ... There were sorority and fraternity recruiters (but funnily enough I was approached by neither), and religious fanatics pedalling their (be)wares. "Hello Kitty Sisterhood". "God is the chairperson of my board". "Alpha Phi Beta". There was a buzz of excitement in the air, and I barely avoided a head-on collision with a girl who came screaming around the corner on her bike - "Outta tha way!!! I'm sooooo late for my first class!". I returned to my office devoid of salad, defeated and exhausted. I long for the Summer days of freshman-less peace. I think I'm getting old.
