Things I found enjoyable about new technology:
My new Brother DCP-540CN Printer.
I bought this baby back when I got my exit payment from my last job. God bless Home Network! Since this thing is connected to the wireless ADSL router, I don't have to send stuff thru email to the old PC in the study to print off documents I need anymore. All I do now is hit Ctrl+P on my laptop and "voila!" printed material arrives in a few second. However the best thing I discovered a while ago was that I can scan stuff directly to my laptop. No more me having to open up said printer's apps. All I do is press the scan button on the printer, chose the PC that I want to scan to, and "voila!" it is on my hard drive, eager for a visit to GIMP.
Freeview
While not perfect, watching stuff in actual widescreen on a widescreen TV is good for a change. Now all that's left is for Prime/Sky to actually start putting it on the Freeview programs rather than be stubborn about it.
Also there's a new JB Hifi store open up in Albany. Must find good deal on those Bravia SXRD TVs.
