I'm sorry - I know I should be writing since I have some spare time, but this just wanted to be done...
1. You can’t help but consider what different cars would look like as a Transformer.
2. On the same note, you can’t help wondering which models would fit best as Autobots or Decepticons.
3. When cursing (if you curse), you are more likely to say
(
15. You’ve considered (or actually have) named a pet in some way that references Transformers.
*cuddles puppy!Hook* Hook is an adorable little Border Collie Mix. I would also have a cat named Perceptor, but the only kittens that need names are the outdoor ones that refuse to come close enough to be picked up. And I'd want Perceptor to be safely inside the house.
17. When bored, you look up obscure facts about Transformers. Example: There’s been at least two instances where the Decepticon’s have murdered puppies.
*dresses Hook up like a cat* No puppies here! Honest!
20. Most of the songs you listen too, you discovered when searching for youtube for Transformers Music Videos.
Or any song that you listen to, you relate it to Transformers in someway. For instance, you imaging the characters in the situations the songs describe (this is how I came up with that Springer/Perceptor bunny), or you imagine that the singer is what they would sound like if the characters were female.
Within Temptation makes me think of femme!Perceptor. And Shakira and Evanescence and Nightwish make me think of femme!Hook. Evanescence (which I'm not sure I'm spelling right) also makes me think of femme!Skywarp.
I could keep going... but I won't because I do this for practically every song I hear.
By the way (You're the) Devil in Disguise by Elvis Presley always makes me think of Perceptor. His lover/ex-lover learns Perceptor isn't as kind and innocent as he pretends to be.

None of mine are actually named after Transformers - my cats got their names years before my interest arone, and my ferrets... Well, my mother didn't really let me pick there names. *is still annoyed by that* I bought them. I bought their cage. I buy all the stuff they need - not counting food, admittedly, but all the toys (yes, that is a need with ferrets), nail clippers, treats, all of it. And I'm not allowed to name them the way I want.
Forgive the rant, please. *pauses* Ya know, I have two outside cats, and where ever one is the other is as well... My mom wants them to have sane names as well, so... Grapple and Hoist!

Ya know, technically, Hook would probably be a better name for a cat than a dog... Anyway, both of the murdered puppies happened in comic books, but still

Grapple and Hoist or GrappleandHoist? Good names!
I... have a lot more than two outdoor cats. Lets see...
There's Uh-Oh (who used to have a sister named Oreo), Rincewind, Alberta, Scattershot (oh, look! Another Transformer!), Yuki, Sam, Guinevere, and a couple that still need names.
Plus Sergei, Ishtar, Aney and Zachariah inside.

Well, plus those two, there's also Star, Big Daddy, GrappleandHoist's sister (brother?) who might not be alive anymore, and that black and white cat we keep trying to run off. YinYang used to be around, but one of the dogs got a hold of her and she was still just a tiny kitten, so... Yeah, now I'm sad.
I also have Nyx and Cai inside, plus the two ferrets, three dogs, a snake (which is technically my brother's, but I do care for it occasionally.) Oh, and a lot of mice, because my brother breeds them for the snake to eat.

Nikolai, Tristen, Smokie (or Smokey; mom hasn't told me how she wants it spelled), Rain, Dandin, Hook, Simon, and Secretariat.
Down to eight. Which is still a lot. Secretariat needs a home though (he's Hook's brother). And Nikolai is going to be moving in with a cousin soon. So... six.

I wonder how sparkling!Perceptor would react to Mojo.

*has mostly given up on steering the conversation back to Transformers*
Hmm... I dunno. Might try to dissect him.
Swoop: No, you Perceptor no do that.
Perceptor: *tilts in confusion*
Swoop: Is bad. Makes you Perceptor get dirty, than me Swoop must clean you Perceptor up or him Ratchet get angry.
Reply
Swoop: *trying to dry Perceptor off* "Me Swoop give him Perceptor bath." *looks around* "Him Perceptor have a little too much fun."
Sam: *suddenly realizes something* "Hey, have you seen Mojo?"
Swoop: *flinches and holds Perceptor protectively* "Uh... him Lennox took him Mojo to vet."
Sam: *panicks* "Why? What happened?" *glares at Perceptor who clicks happily* "What did he do to him?"
Swoop: *reluctantly* "Perceptor wanted to know how him Mojo worked, but me Swoop got him Perceptor to drop him Mojo." *looks guilty* "Me Swoop didn't know fall would hurt him Mojo." *sees how angry Sam is* "But him Mojo going to be ok! Just broke leg!"
Mikaela: "Calm down, Sam. Perceptor's just a baby; he doesn't know any better.
Sam: *glares one last time but realizes Mikaela is right* "Yeah... well, at least Mojo will be happy. He'll get his pills again."
... Compared to a human, how big would a sparkling be? I've wondered that since reading Honey, Prime, I Shrunk the Kids Officers.

Aka. really, really tiny compared to the adults. But even Frenzy had to grow into his size rather than shrink, right?
*pauses* How long do you think it takes a sparkling to develop? I know I've heard theories about 'upgrades' that basically do the same thing that happens naturally, only makes it easier on the sparkling. (sounds to me like they found a way to avoid growing pains...)

I'm not really sure how big they are, but as far as I can see, they're probably a little smaller than the Cassettes. Or, in the movie, a little smaller than frenzy.
Smaller than Frenzy sounds good. *thinks* Swoop would only need a single hand to hold Perceptor. Good thing the humans are around; it would be far too easy for Perceptor to hide in places the adult Autobots can't fit into to.

I would think so. He must have been tiny as a sparkling. Although, in this fic he did in fact shrink.

I think it would take a lot longer than a single human lifespan for them to grow to adulthood. A vorn is basically their version of a year and a vorn is 83 Earth years. I like the idea of them growing, rather than getting a new body. In World of Steam, the author came up with an interesting way for them to grow:
Each protoform had three basic upgrades in their lives. It was always a tumultuous time when they became cranky and their surface began to itch terribly. It wasn't completely unlike how earthling insects shed their skins. In addition to their normal intake of energy converted into energon, they also started ingesting any scrap of metal they found. The added material was then used by their bodies to form new armored parts and bulk out their forms.
They could have a choice. Grow naturally, with no effort on their part. Be taken to a medic for upgrades (which wouldn't take nearly as long as growing naturally). Or the parents could install a program that would cause something similar to what happened in World of Steam (it would be faster than growing naturally but not as fast as going to a medic. It would likely be cheaper than going to a medic).
I think, due to lack of supplies and the fact none of them are Perceptor's real creators, they would allow him to grow naturally. Which, in my opinion, is the best choice. The other ways seem like forcing his body to age faster than his mind.
I had a thought. Since he's so young, would they let him on the internet? Could he get on the internet? I'm wondering how he's going to learn English if he can't download it (I suppose one of the adult could help). I can just see him not understanding a thing the humans say, but simply mimicking the sounds they make.
And I'm rambling. Sorry. *is sleepy*

No worries, it all came out fine. Besides, I do the same thing all to often.

Yeah, they're really, really tiny. *pauses* Oh, Annabelle and Perceptor playing hide-and-seek!

Yeah, I'm still trying to work out how I'm going to address that. I mean, mentally, Perceptor's probably going to be a toddler - but he's still been around a lot longer than any human. And then, he'll still be a toddler when the humans get old and die.

I've never been much for the growing naturally theory myself. I always wondered why they would make a way to force them to age faster - it can't be healthy if you're forcing the body to grow faster than the mind. So I kinda think that the body, because it is metal grows very, very slowly in comparison to the mind. As in, if left alone, the body could still be that of a child while the mind could be a fully functioning adult.

Nope, no internet connection for little Perceptor. And I can't say anything more without giving part of the fic away, so... Sorry.
Ramble all you want - I can hardly protest. *pauses* For some reason I slept until three today - it's just now five (here, at least). So I'm not too sleepy... But if you're that tired, I'd suggest, ya know, sleeping. Unless you're trying to wait for night or something...

That would be adorable!

I like that idea! But...that would be sad, for the humans, never being able to see him grow up. Although, their children and their children's children (etc) would see him grow (slowly). They would all be involved in his upbringing. Perceptor would probably be so confused as to why his playmates age so quickly and then 'disappear' forever. I wonder if the others would try to protect him from that somehow.

I think they'd force them to age faster because of the war. It'd be too dangerous to be a child. Even if the mind is still that of a child, being in an adult body would protect them better than the fragile body of a child. It likely isn't healthy in the long term (I think it'd put too much stress on the spark) but it was probably the best they could do to protect them.

An interesting thought. And very possible too. This could possibly explain Minibots and Cassettes. It'd be interesting to see.

That's ok. I can wait to read it *hopes she doesn't have to wait too long*

I am waiting for night. When I have nothing to do for days on end, I tend to sleep all day and stay up all night. But I have somewhere I need to be tomorrow, so I'm trying to get turned around. And to get turned around, I usually stay awake about 20 hours, then go to bed when it's dark.
I'm feeling a bit more awake now though. Which is good because if I fall asleep now, I'll likely wake up at two in the morning.

Yes, it would be sad - which is why I'm still debating how to do things. Because I don't want things to be too sad - I can always address sad things in other universes, I want this one to stay (mostly) happy and fairly amusing (to us, at least).
That's ok. I can wait to read it *hopes she doesn't have to wait too long*
*continues to try to make the fic logical* I promise it won't be much longer - maybe two or three days, at most.

Yeah, that's how I am as well. Yay for night owls! I'm trying to correct my sleeping pattern some (mainly because my mom gets pissy when I spend all night awake and all day asleep...) *pauses* Oddly enough, that's also how I go about correcting my sleep patterns. My mom doesn't much like it when I do that either (pickypickypicky).

True, Hook is a good name for a cat. But puppy!Hook does have these sharp little claws. And Hook was the name that popped in my mind when Rain had her puppies. He was named before I even saw him (Rain had them under the house and while I tried going under there to see them, got too nervous because I was between Rain and another dog she didn't want under there. There was growling).
