Did not write as much as I wanted to today, I'm still about 2,000 words off track on NaNo. And now I'm at my brother's watching the Stillers on Sunday Night Football.
I'm going to try for more words, but I do not have high hopes. Send me encouragement?

"Yeah, yeah, please, Williams, regale us with your sob story once again," Cruz called across the locker room. "Crowder hasn't heard it yet."
Boyd looked up from zipping up his duffel and met the confident gaze of a blue-eyed stranger. There was a genial smile on the man's face, belying the mile-a-minute complaints, most of which seemed to be focused on one woman, that brought to mind someone's elderly aunt, or a hormonal teenager, rather than a seasoned law enforcement professional. Boyd had been wondering who was the voice to such a long and arduous tirade since he'd walked out of the showers in the Newark Federal Building, which now housed both the New Jersey offices of the ATF and the headquarters of the Newark PD.
"Detective Williams, I presume," Boyd said and shook the man's hand.
"Agent Crowder," Williams said, still smiling, but more or less looking as though he were eyeing fresh meat. "Let me tell you about the time I was rear-ended in my squad car."
"You might as well get dinner reservations, Crowder," Cruz slapped him on the back as he passed. "If he's starting there, it's gonna be a long one. You might have to buy him breakfast, too."
