zelda_zee , because she was having a bad day.
Boyd hadn't meant to piss Johnny off so bad he'd take off in the truck, leaving him ride-less and a little bit tipsy at the goddamn batting cage. Yet, here he was, abandoned on the deserted side of Everett High School, after hours, after dark, with only one beer left in his sixer.
Luckily, as Boyd had just resigned himself to a night under the stars, a beat up old Chevy drives up to the entrance of the cage and out climbs Raylan Givens, wearing a cap and carrying and bat in his hand.
"Hey, Raylan," he calls. And Raylan starts just a little bit, clearly not expecting anyone to be there.
"Boyd," he calls back. "What the hell you doing here?"
Boyd smiles and answers as soon as Raylan comes close enough to speak with properly, "Enjoying this fine evening under the stars. Yourself?"
"Here to hit some balls," he says with raised eyebrows, because it's obvious.
And Boyd watches him do just that, savoring his last beer, and appreciating Raylan as he perfects that goddamn beautiful swing.
When Raylan is finished he comes over to where Boyd has laid himself out on the hood of the truck. "Guess I can't leave in good conscience unless I take you with me," he says, smiling.
"I'll go wherever you want to take me, Raylan," Boyd replies, feeling especially good as he gazes into those brown eyes.
Raylan plants his two hands on the side of the hood, leaning in a little, maybe about a foot away from Boyd's face. "How about we aim for the stars?" He whispers and leans in.
Boyd was thinking the same fucking thing and meets him halfway, their lips pressing together, not too soft, not too hard, but tender and cool. And when Raylan's mouth opens for him, it's so hot it's almost sharp, tangy and Boyd moans a little and move towards him fast, pulling his hands up to Raylan's face, making him smile.
"You have a good trip?" He asks Boyd's lips.
Boyd doesn't stop kissing Raylan long enough to answer, but he's thinking the stars ain't nothing compared to what he's got right here.
