Cat update
So, thanks to Kristin, I tried an experiment.
If you take a 4'x2' lawn "stuff" storage tote and cut a big hole in the side, you get a Huge El-Mondo Cat box.
Which, apparently, is what Lard Cat wanted. A box big enough for her to feel comfortable in. Here's crossing my fingers that this covers the problem, because in the past new solutions have met with success only for about 4 weeks at a time.
