Paint stripping

I've half a mind to get a quote from a furniture refinishing place in town on this project. Except.... I know they'll balk at it.

Gwyn's grandfather made a play kitchen - refrigerator, stove, sink/cupboard. We've had it sitting here for two summers now. Why sitting? Because the paint is cracked and flaking. And, since it was built in the 60s... Yeah. Lead paint. Gotta come off since it's flaking.

That means stripping paint. What a freaking mess. It's coming off fairly easily, but it's still an awful mess to take off. This is going to be a very loooong project I'm afraid!

Fortunately nothing is especially damaged, although I will add some modern modifications. Like replacing the cord and light bulb used in the refrigerator with an LED light and battery. And perhaps enough weight in the base of the refrigerator to keep it from tipping over.
