The passage of time is stupid.

I just went out for a cigarette (okay, two cigarettes) and saw many of the neighbor children that I grew up with. I understand the natural progression of time and aging, but these kids have gotten so old. Little Laura, who I've known since she was three, drove past me. Drove. Past me. Drove! there was this kid i used to baby sit for when i was in like 7th grade. i went home last summer and was walking along the sidewalk. he came out of his house, cigarette in hand and was like...fuck, it's lou. want a beer? yeah, that freaked me out. a lot. but the beer was good. and oh man...his sister (my age) is still hot.

Dude. People at home are so grown up. It's damn scary. It's even worse that my 5.5 years younger brother and all his friends are taller than me.
