My grandemother and I both admired it greatly, and it's sitting on my desk here, making me smile. Yay! Thank you!

While my mom was here, she imparted some awesome and useful Mom Knowledge to me, which is too good not to share. In a very unusual move, my mom has a few brands that she'll shell out money for, rather than getting the cheapest alternative. On rare occasion (very rare, she generally adds), you just have to go with the brand name you know works.

I have a car! 2001 Toyoa Solara, red, with a moon roof! Slight downside is that it s a two-door, but it's actually pretty easy to get in and out of and generally not obnoxious. I'm nearly done with my braille certification. I've known all the ins and outs of actually transcribing for a while, and these last few lessons are just formating and rare things like how to condense Bible attributions and braille charts and title pages and whatever else. My favorite version of Pirates of Penzance is available on Hulu. FEAR ME. I watched this movie constantly as a child. Constantly. My parents, bless their hearts, made a tape for me, and I would listen to one side each night as I went to sleep. For years.
