Awww!! The lovebirds I had as a child adored chewing paper. They would go around the edges of paper, books, anything and chew stamp-edge like fringe on all of them.

Widget just discovered yesterday the joy of paperback books. It's a new game he and I play - I try to read, and he tries to eat the book. Yay?

How long does Widget usually nap for? Just curious - I find the whole lovebird chronicles fascinating.

Depends - sometimes just for 5 or 10 minutes, but sometimes more like half an hour. He tends to wake up as soon as something interesting happens.
