As I mentioned before I downloaded a copy of The Sims 3... 1) I didn't feel like waiting when it's right there in front of my face. Why wait when I can have it right now? 2) I'm in Cairo, Egypt and I don't know when or if Sims 3 will be released here. Yes, when I return to America I plan on giving EA my damn money!
So if you guys have any questions about it that are waiting just let me know. I'll be sure to answer them. It's really fun so far, although SO much different than Sims 2. I think my boyfriend is now more addicted than me... haha.
I love the social interactions and how complex they are. To get sims to fall in love there's no longer the whole "chat, flirt, flirt, flirt, chat, hug, kiss (etc) spamming. It's much more realistic now.. as in you actually have to think deeply about what you're going to do next when it comes to interacting! I love the personality descriptions; it's much more detailed and individualized... although I do wish there were some more choices, or maybe up the cap from five to six? I'm sure that future expansions will take care of all those small complaints of mine. The objects, hair, clothes are very nice, but again there aren't very many choice. I can't wait until all those amazing CC creators get to work. I'm really looking forward to the possiblities when it comes to custom content. The DEFAULT graphics for Sims 3 are definitely better, and I am playing on my boyfriend's laptop mind you, so most of the settings are on low and the game still runs pretty damn smooth. On his desktop however, with everything on high, it looks beautiful. Of course you still have the maxis cartoony-look, but I know that custom contect textures will change that. I'm also very glad that Maxis actually made default face templates with some-what attractive facial features instead of the once again cartoony-looking Goopy bullshit. Going to work in the Sims 3 is also more complex. You can choose day by day how you want to attend work, weather it be sucking up to your boss, slacking, or chatting with co-workers. But that all affects how you are promoted, which I might add is also A LOT more challenging and realistic as well.
So overrall I'm pretty satisfied with Sims 3... just really looking foward (impatiently) for some custom content. I still have A LOT of things to discover and figure out...
