About an hour or so, I got a text from my aunt. She told me she'd be picking me up from the library I'm currently at, going on to say, "I forgot to bring my towel to school today". Just got back from a church retreat in Idyllwild. "Church retreat" is actually better than it sounds. The trip is over. I'm at home again. Quite a bit happened over the brief holiday. I worked hard on some things and completely slacked on others. I practiced morality. I have come to understand things I did not want to understand. I have seen things I did not want to see. I have eaten an awful lot of fish and chips.

This morning, I went online and finally ordered the Doctor Who paraphernalia that I wanted. "Paraphernalia" is a word which here means "Season 6, all of David Tennant's work, pins, a bow tie, a parody book called Doctor Whom, and a make-your-own sonic screwdriver kit". I'm a very lucky and happy Conlee for this.

So, yesterday was the last day of school before the break. And I feel great about that. I have a fairly packed break ahead of me; Christmas Story parties, seeing various friends, most likely going to see the new Sherlock Holmes film (I'm very keen on that), and, of course, Christmas itself.
