18 years ago today I got my livejournal account. That means my account is old enough to vote! I miss livejournal. Back in the day, I could write rambling reviews, philosophical musings, and book recommendations. Back then we could engage in civil debate and actually learn from one another. Livejournal was formative for me in many ways, from learning about social media and connecting to others. My breast cancer support group was on livejournal. My ex-husband and I announced our divorce here. I got into fanfiction in part through livejournal.
I doubt anyone will read this. Most of my friends have moved to other platforms. But lj will always hold a special place in my heart.
