I feel that my own history education was severely lacking when it came to antisemitism. We studied the Holocaust, yes, but we studied it as an isolated event. It wasn't until I was reading on my own as an adult that I began to learn that it was part of a centuries long pattern of oppression and scapegoating. I am reminded of a post you wrote several months ago about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and the need to understand where each side is coming from. That history is an essential part of that understanding.
