Finally read Superman: Red Son and the science made me want to cry. Yes, the ending is awesome, yes, the themes are awesome, yes, it was a wonderful idea and concept and I'm glad it was written.
But dear god that last book just devolves into this mindless 'OMG YAY SCIENCE' drivel that is - just - agh. Agh. Bad sci-fi. Bad bad bad.
But Jimmy Olsen was there, and Oliver Queen, and. It was okay.
Sometimes even the great comics are difficult to like.
