I really admire how well you conveyed his spead - the drying tears and almost shattering floorboards.

One typo - I think - smearing the pages with his ashes. should be lashes. (I had to correct three typos I made before posting this comment)

Ack! Yes, I am! I didn't see the episode, and I'd forgotten that fire was involved. So now I think your last line is evil, too. Jesus, how do you get such an emotional impact into so few words? I'm very impressed.

You know how I've said sometimes that I just sort of open up my head and things come out of me that I almost don't recognize? This was one of those fics. I feel less like I wrote it and more like I channeled it. All I wrote on my brainstorm was "Burn this" and this is what happened. I'm almost a little in awe of it.
