What fantasic imagery. You really painted a detailed picture with phrases like quintessentially metropolitan and the city’s night lights sliding over the slick surfaces of his limousine. I also loved the images in the entire 2nd paragraph, but especially this one: the stab of naked tree branches bleak against the orange harvest moon. So violent, and starkly beautiful.

Then the last line made me laugh in satisfied pleasure. Of course Clark has a lot to do with it. I enjoyed the thought of the warm and secret hand holding.

I love fifty cent words, so I had to pat myself on the back for quintessentially cosmopolitan myself :)

The harvest moon was the first thing that popped into my head when I read orange, so painting a picture was my top priority here. I'm so glad it worked.
