For the preparatory training in Zhuhai you will receive a stipend of RMB 3,000 (tax free), free housing, transportation from Hong Kong to Zhuhai and from Zhuhai to Shenzhen with the group, and tours of Zhuhai and Macao with the group. In Shenzhen you will receive the full benefits of a returning teacher position, including round trip equivalent airline ticket reimbursement and the Travel Bonus at the end of the contract, plus a monthly stipend of RMB 2,000 (tax free) September 2008 through May 2008 and RMB 1,000 for June 1-15, 2009. CTLC will work diligently with the Shenzhen Education Bureau to provide you a reduced teaching load, ideally of 10 rather than the standard 15 class periods per week, but the specific individual outcomes are dependant on negotiation by Shenzhen Education Bureau will the individual schools and so cannot be absolutely guaranteed.

Of course, I have extra responsibilities (I kind of laughed at the "your leadership is demanding but will offer the reward of satisfaction of a job well done"), but it will be interesting to see...I feel like after juggling full-time teaching, a part-time job, and submitting assignments to my Supervisor last semester (read: 3 hours of sleep a night for 3 months), juggling classes and comfort to the culture-shocked will be a nice change of pace...
