River is a reader. Basically, that's Firefly-speak for telepath, except that they don't really outline how it works in the series, probably because they NEVER GOT A CHANCE TO I hate you Fox. ANYWAYS. She tends to just...know things, Layla Miller-style, and with just one glance she's able to glean anything from memories to motivations and thoughts. The good thing about this is that it isn't consistent, which means that if you as a player ooc-ly don't want River to be able to read your character's mind, then that is a-okay :3 and we will just chalk it up to the fact that she can't yet quite control her power yet/doesn't use it as consciously as she does later in canon.
So, if you would please fill out this little form here, just so I can prevent infomodding, that would be lovely. Your time is very much appreciated.
is river physically able to read your character's mind?: some characters, such as the btvs/true blood vampires, etc are 'psychic blanks' or have mental wards in canon. please let me know if this is the case with yours! also, please let me know if your character would feel or be able to sense River rooting around in their mind. If the answer to this is NO, there's no need to fill out the rest of the form! :3 orz, I am dumb
do you as a mun give me permission to have her read your character's mind?: if so, would you like to use italics in your tags to indicate thoughts that can be read, or do I have permission to lift from prose?
is there anything in your pup's past that might trigger her?: anything having to do with: government or medical experimentation, asassination, anything zombie-like (or bearing a resemblance to reavers (WARNING: SCARY IMAGERY), large amounts of violence/bloodshed, especially if said acts happened to be committed by your characters. basically, anything creepy/violent/upsetting - she's easily triggered.
