i derive more pleasure from a fun tweet than a page of screenplay. screenplays are such joyless writing forms. i mean it's the blueprint nature of it i guess? and the time spent down structure/outline pigeonholes? or maybe i just make it joyless. but it's also prob the instant gratification of the tweet. vs a screenplay which is never gratification.
what's the point of doing anything if you're not gonna get credit for it? eyes don't see it? lonely girls across the internet coo at it?
all my reward structures are so fucked.
ugh. ah well. i guess it's only prob been four years of serious writing attempts. if i look at that and not say 12 yrs of returning to filmmaking, 10 years of writing new scripts, 7 yrs of sitting in cafes pretending to write, i guess it's less terrible.
