SocialVibe and the Art of Elysium
So some of you may have noticed this little thing called SocialVibe that I've been trying to spread and I thought I'd take some time to explain exactly what it is.
SocialVibe is a site that allows you to earn money for your selected cause by selecting sponsers that will basically give you money for pimping out their company. You get these badges that can put on your MySpace, Facebook, LiveJournal, etc., that help spread the word and brings me to the point system. You get points for almost everything you do on the site, including, logging in, visiting the forums, as well as displaying the badges. The site uses these points as a way to determine how much of the money given to them goes to each charity or cause.
Also every once in a while certain sponsors will come out with things called perks. Perks are added things that you can get for posting badges for so many days. Current perks are the chance to win an iPhone, $250 worth of books, or a bag from Juicy Couture. Also if you get so many points you can get prizes like a ball in the logo above and t-shirts from your charity or cause. And one thing I forgot to mention this site is completely free.

The Art of Elysium
While I have your attention I thought I'd speak a little bit about the Charity that I'm currently supporting through SocialVibe. The Art of Elysium is a non-profit organization that helps bring the arts to critically ill children that would otherwise only see four hospital walls for months at a time. This group brings musicians, artists, comdedians, etc., to children's hospitals and also offers programs for children to express themselves through art in a way they may have not have been able to otherwise.
