Summary: Fuma's favorite Senpai.

Shounen Club recording had just finished. As Fuma was heading to the change room, he heard his name being called. Turning around, he saw Yabu jogging towards him.

“Hey, Kikuchi-kun!” he said, once he reached him, “Thanks for saying I’m your favorite senpai! It’s not really true, through, is it?”

“Um…” Fuma began, “Actually-”

“It’s okay, don’t worry about it” Yabu cut him off, “Anyways, I wanted to invite you to come karaoke next weekend, with the rest of JUMP! Your favorite senpai is one of JUMP’s members, right? So yeah~ Make sure you come! You can bring Nakajima-kun and Takahata-kun too. …Actually, on second thought, Nakajima-kun and Yuto might get into a fight over Yamada… again. It’d probably be better if you come alone. Right, so I have to go, but make sure you come!” he finished, beginning to jog backwards, towards the general direction of where Hikaru was standing, hair brown as ever.

Fuma watched Yabu laugh as he caught up with Hikaru, and they started walking off. As they disappeared around the corner, he turned around and continued on his way to the change room.

It wasn’t true, he thought, as he changed quietly in the corner of the empty change room. It wasn’t a lie. Yabu really was his favorite senpai. He frowned. He’d never really thought about that before. He thought he had just admired everyone, but really, his eyes always went to Yabu first, and he tended to remember things about Yabu more than about anyone else. Interesting. Maybe he’d accept the invitation after all…

…or not. After passing JUMP’s dressing room the next day, when both groups had practice, he decided that he’d rather not be locked in a sound-proof room with the 10 of them - or at least not with Takaki, Chinen and Yamada all there.

So later, after practice, he decided he’d send Yabu a mail saying he had plans with his family (As it turned out, he actually did - something about practicing English, and some doctor named “Seuss”).

As he was about to press the send button, Yabu appeared out of seemingly nowhere.

“Hi, Kikuchi-kun!”

“Yabu-kun! Huh? W-what…?” he stuttered, looking back and forth between Yabu and his cell phone, confused.

“Is something wrong?” Yabu asked with a concerned look on his face.

“Huh? Oh, no. Um, actually, I was just about to mail you. I can’t go to the karaoke meeting this weekend, my family has a short trip planed. Sorry!” he explained.

“Oh, really? That’s a shame. Well, I’d still like to treat you to something. If you don’t mind, want to come have dinner with me? Although you might not want to, since it’s only me.” Yabu responded with a sheepish smile, “The international cuisine place across the street are amazing, though. The chicken wings are to die for!”

“Um. Of course I’ll come! Actually, there’s something I’ve been meaning to talk Yabu about, so it works out for both of us!” Fuma smiled.

A couple of hours later, both of them were sitting in an isolated corner of the restaurant. It was a small place, simple and clean, with a fresh, cozy feeling. Fuma could see why Yabu suggested coming here.

Once they had ordered, Yabu leaned forward and asked, “So what was it you wanted to talk to me about?”

“Um, would Yabu-kun mind if I asked a question?” Fuma asked uncertainly.

“Ask away.”

“Why did Yabu-kun insist ob treating me?” he asked, attempting to make his voice as full of innocent curiosity as possible, “Why me, and not Misaki-kun or Kento?”

“I’m… not quite sure, actually.” Yabu, caught off-guard, took a sip of water before continuing to answer, cautiously. “I guess maybe because you said I was your favorite the other day, and even though I know you were just saying that because of the atmosphere, it made me feel good. It had been a long time since I last heard I was somebody’s favorite senpai,” He admitted, “I guess I just missed the feeling of being admired, and wanted to cherish it a little bit.” He finished, with a small shy, embarrassed smile. “I bet you were expecting a totally different answer, huh? Sorry, I guess I’ve gotten bad at meeting other people’s expectations lately.”

Their food arrived, and as Fuma watched Yabu begin to eat, he noticed the sad smile in his eyes, contrasting the one on his face.

“I don’t think so.” Fuma stated, “I think Yabu-kun not only meets everyone’s expectations, but surpasses them, leaving everyone in amazement. The only person who’s expectations Yabu-kun cannot meet are Yabu-kun’s. Yabu-kun is hardworking, kind, understanding, helpful, and very caring.” A smile graced Yabu’s lips as he listened to Fuma talk.

“And Yabu-kun? The think I wanted to tell you was, you are my favorite senpai! And I know I’m not the only one, either. A lot of the other juniors think very highly of Yabu-kun, and everyone respects Yabu-kun for all the work he does for JUMP, and for the juniors as well.” He finished, “So thank you very much.”

A wide smile was on Yabu’s face by the time finished talking and looked back up. His eyes had become nothing but two thin slits on his face.

“I knew asking you to dinner was a good idea!”

I... don't like this very much. The plot's really boring, and the stucture is weird. Conclusion: I can't write.
Also, ignore the fact that Hikaru's hair wasn't actually dyed yet when Yabu asked Fuma to karaoke.

Btw, my prompts for this were: Fanboy, Chicken Wings, green, Dr. Seuss, and Karaoke
