I keep finding smelly dogs who stink up everything. There was the one I plan on hunting and now there's one at the monkey man's shop. Still don't think it's quite fair that I finally found a monkey but can't have it. At least there are more monkeys out there even if the monkey man refuses to tell me. The bird man doesn't seem to know about them

I've heard that when it comes to Anima, the animal spirit tries to protect the person. So maybe it's harder to control your "monster", as you call it, on days when it thinks it has a reason to be protective, and is easier when it thinks you're safe.

Why? It's the truth. Maybe I didn't really know where you stood when it comes to Anima, but...I never thought you'd have the kind of distaste towards them you seem to have now. At worst, I guess I thought you might just be indifferent and not really care one way or the other. But your comments just now........

Yuuta, I don't like animals. Any animal, normal or otherwise. They act incomprehensibly and make messes. I don't really have any strong feelings politically about anima, but neither do I want to rush out and find one any more than I'd want to find a dog.

Animals function on instinct, primarily. They do what they need to survive. Lately...sometimes I think they make more sense than people - who also make plenty of messes.

....I guess it's a good thing you haven't met my horses.

Horses are less objectionable as they at least have a purpose. Yamato would agree with you on that, but honestly, I think I prefer people. Generally speaking, they're not going to lick me or do anything perculiar.
