Strange thing in the skies this morning!
This morning I got up and came downstairs, opened the curtains and saw this large glowing orange ball in the sky! It puzzled me for a while and then I remembered I had encountered this phenomena before, a long time ago and was told it was a thing called "the sun"!
Yes it really seems that it has been THAT long since we saw it! We have had weeks of rain and grey skies and today the sky is blue, clear and that orange ball is shining! Let's hope it stays that way for this weekend's Glastonbury Extravaganza. This year we have Status Quo, Bjorn Again and The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra performing in the grounds of Glastonbury Abbey.
Next week it's the Cropredy Festival in Oxfordshire, an event staged and run by Fairport Convention and we hope they get this good weather too!
I always think that when we get up and see a bright sunny day, it puts us in a much better mood to cope with the day ahead!
