Today I awoke with mixed emotions.....
I awoke with mixed emotions this morning, knowing that today is my final day as Managing Director of Glastonbury Broadcasting Ltd.
I took the decision to step down many months ago, as the stress of the long days and no income was getting tool much for me, but time has come around quickly and it is with some sadness that I hand over the running of the company to the new MD.
That said, it will free up a lot of my time so that I can get my evenings and weekends back for "social time" (and perhaps a lot more fishing lol!)
Tonight at the shareholders meeting, I hand over the total running of the company to my replacement and I'm certain that this person will carry on the job that I started and take Glastonbury Radio forward. I will move to Business Development and Sales and will be spending more time out on the road meeting our advertisers etc!
I think the move is a good one for the company, and a good one for me too, this job would have killed me eventually lol!
