Stargazing live on the BBC

Stargazing Live!

I tuned into the BBC's Stargazing Live last night and have to say I quite enjoyed it! Especially the line about 2012 where Prof Brian Cox said "The Mayans didn't know what they were bloody talking about"!

It was also good to see Jonathan Ross fumbling helplessly with a telescope in his garden and admitting to the world that he had given up trying to get it to work, as I have had exactly the same trouble with the one I had! Anyone who has ever bought one and not known what they were doing, will be fully aware of what a pain they are to set up!

I have to question why comedian Dara O Briain be chosen as co-presenter though???? Any ideas, answers on a postcard please!

I believe the programme continues over the next few nights, and details can be found on the BBC's official webpage HERE.

One piece of information I did find useful, was how you can get good pictures of the sky using an ordinary digital camera, just by changing a few settings, and some of the pics sent in by viewers were quite amazing.

....and if UFO's do exist, perhaps they will make a brief appearance to wave at Prof Brian Cox this week lol!
