Orpheus-Greek musician played the lyre, almost a personification of music. His lover dies so being the mythic character that he is, he goes down into the underworld playing music the entire way. He manages to entrance all of the guardians of Hades and even makes Hades himself weep. As a reward for his brilliant music Hades says that you can have your girl back you just can't look at her until your get back on earth. Orpheus is thrilled and he continues playing his music out of the world as his girl follows him. At the very last moment right before the emerge into the daylight, Orpheus looks back...and his girl dissipates into nothing.
