Life has been crazy lately! This is the first time that I have had time to just sit down and do nothing in a long time, and let me just tell you that I am enjoying every second of it right now! Last week was a pretty good week because school is starting to settle down and I only have like one more test in each class, thank God! The weekend was good and bad at the same time! Thursday I had my job interview at Lincoln High School, and the band director offered me the job as the assistant colorguard director/tech. I am really excited because I am going to be able to teach the thing that I love most, and I will be able watch them grow and get to call those girls mine! Plus I will get to be involved with winterguard, which is something I missed a lot last year, so that makes me happy! And to think…I will be getting paid for all of it! :o) Thursday night Ashley and I went over to Jessica and Suzanne’s house to hang out with them and some of the other colorguard girls, so that was fun but Ashley and I didn’t hold up our traditional Thirsty Thursday night. ;o) Friday, Ashley and I went to Red Lobster with my dad and then we went to Kelli and Stephanie’s house. Once again I had some new experiences with stuff and it was definitely a fun night, but I don’t know if I would do it again. Saturday was GAMEDAY (like always), but we lost the stupid game to NC State! I don’t understand how we beat all the good teams, but then we lose to all the teams that suck a big one! AND that was our last home game, so that made it suck even more. The end of the game was really sad because all the seniors came down to the bottom of the stands and sung the Hymn for the last night. David, Dawn, and Theresa were standing right in front of me and I couldn’t help but to bawl my eyes out through out the whole song. I stood there looking into the eyes of the seniors and watched every single one of them break down into tears, and it just hit me how much I take Marching Chiefs for granted sometimes. I have 3 more seasons then I will never march colorguard again…it is a sad thought. After the game Ashley and I went to dinner with my Dad then we were supposed to go out because we got invited to 3 different parties, but we both came home a feel asleep. Sunday, I went to breakfast with my Dad, and it looks like my family is going on a cruise this summer! Ashley is going to come with us, so that is super exciting! I can’t even imagine the two of us on a cruise together…it is going to be awesome! Dawn and I went shopping together all day Sunday for banquet dresses then we did it again Monday after classes because we didn’t have Chiefs practice. Just know that I found a gorgeous dress to wear! I enjoyed hanging out with Dawn because her and I can really relate to each other on certain subjects, and it was good talking to her and having someone who understands me. Yesterday and today nothing exciting is really going on, but I am way looking forward to Thursday and this weekend. A huge group of us are going to the Leon Country Fair tomorrow night then coming back to do Party Patrol stuff at our apartment. Party Patrol are the “cool” colorguard kids who decorate the buses on the away trips! Friday we are leaving for Clemson, and we are stopping at the Mall Of Georgia on the way up there! Zack (and maybe a few other people) are going to come see me while I am there! I am way excited! I am scared we are going to lose the game on Saturday, but I am to the point now where I am like whatever because I know the trip is going to be fun! Anyways, I have got to go clean my room and the apartment so people can come over tomorrow night! Bye bye!
