Drabble #... whatever.

For rainpuddle13, who made the dire mistake of requesting Draco/Ginny/Seamus without realizing our vastly different definitions of its meaning.

Corrupting Influence.

Draco/Ginny/Seamus (with pretty much all variations of those three characters present). Silliness abounding. 992 words, PG-13.

“I beg your pardon?” Draco said, affronted.

“Do you want to dance?” Seamus repeated, this time with an even more impish grin. “I saw the way you were watching me...”

“Please don’t project your sickening fantasies on me,” Draco said, trying to extricate his arm from under Seamus’s grip. Sure, he’d been watching someone, but it definitely had not been a halfblood Gryffindor boy hellbent on publicly humiliating him.

“Playing hard to get, eh?” Seamus continued, leaning closer than Draco was frankly comfortable with. “The way I remember you from school, I would have thought you’d be more direct.”

Draco reminded himself that a wizard on probation with the Ministry did not draw his wand on belligerent admirers, especially in the best (and only) wizarding dance club in England. He was a good-looking wizard, surely he had dealt with such a situation before. Casting his memory back, the only time he’d been hit on by another man included Fenrir Greyback growling in his ear and tightening claw-tipped fingers around his thigh at a particularly uncomfortable dinner at his mother’s house that bad summer, and he was quite positive he was more capable of handling Seamus Finnigan than he had a psychotic werewolf.

“Seamus!” came a breathy voice. Draco groaned as Ginny Weasley appeared, thrusting her chest suggestively at Seamus and smiling predatorily. “I wondered where you’d gotten to!”

“I’m right here, Gin,” Seamus said, not loosening his grip on Draco’s arm in the least.

“I got our drinks,” Ginny said before realizing who was standing there. She turned on Seamus with fire in her eyes and snapped, “What the hell are you doing to Draco Malfoy?”

“Nothing,” said Seamus immediately and utterly unconvincingly.

Draco snorted.

“What?” Ginny asked him.

“Nancy boy’s trying to get a piece of me. I defended my virtue honorably,” Draco said, then motioned towards his arm. “Alas, legal reasons prevent me from removing his hand forcibly.”

“Seamus, you promised!” Ginny snapped. “One night!”

“You promised!” Seamus snapped back.

“I said nothing about Draco Malfoy,” Ginny choked out.

“What are you two going on about?” Draco asked, attempting sidling away as surreptitiously as possible.

“Seamus wants to experiment,” Ginny said.

“Experiment?” Draco said before comprehension dawned. “Oh! You deranged boy! You think I’d debase myself with both a Mudblood and a Weasley? Your bad fashion and poverty are probably catching!”

Ginny eyed him. “And your theatrics are probably catching. Seamus, let’s go.”

“But he’s perfect!” Seamus contended. “He’d never admit he laid a finger on us.”

“Because he’s not going to lay a finger on me,” Ginny agreed. “Ever.”

Draco barely resisted the urge to poke Ginny, just to see her reaction, but reminded himself that he didn’t want to contaminate himself just in time. “Can’t you leave me be?” Draco asked. “I don’t want any part of your crazy sex games.”

“How could you not want a part?” Seamus asked. “Look at us!”

“I am, and am barely resisting the urge to be ill,” Draco said. He’d completely freed his hand from Seamus’s grip, and now turned to stride away with dignity mostly intact.

Seamus leapt at him, telling him he was clearly just playing coy, and kissed Draco. Draco gasped, which was the exact wrong thing to do, as Seamus took it as a sound of pleasure and increased his ministrations while Ginny began to cackle at Draco’s wide, horrified eyes.

Draco shoved Seamus away after the shock wore off, and immediately looked around hoping no one had seen his assault. Luckily, his propensity for lurking in the dark corners of clubs had paid off, and no one seemed to have noticed that a crime against nature, that a Mudblood daring to lay lips on a Malfoy, had just occurred in their midst.

“Seamus,” Ginny said, still giggling a bit. “Honestly, why are you forcing this issue? I want nothing to do with Malfoy and he wants nothing to do with us.”

“Exactly!” Draco agreed. “And while I suppose I can understand my irresistible nature, refrain from ever laying your squirmy lips on me again, or I will curse you into yesterday, legal consequences be damned.”

Seamus glared at them both.

Ginny turned to Seamus. “Not that it wasn’t amusing to see him suffer, but you do seem awful eager to snog the bastard.”

“What? No! Not eager at all!” Seamus said. “I just thought you wanted--”

“You to make out with Draco Malfoy? Why would I want that?” Ginny demanded.

“He was checking me out! He’s just playing it down now,” Seamus said, waving his hands about.

“I was not!” Draco protested.

“Then who, exactly, were you looking at?” Seamus asked smugly, assured that his fine physique was the most notable of the current surroundings.

Draco was trapped. “Hers,” he said, motioning vaguely with his head, towards either Ginny or one of the multitude of witches behind her. He hoped Ginny would take it as a motioning towards the multitude, to save him embarrassment.

Ginny smirked in a way that gave him a sinking feeling in his stomach, already queasy from the impassioned affections of a misguided Gryffindor. “You were checking me out?”

“I didn’t know it was you,” he shot back snidely.

Her smirk just grew wider. Seamus looked between then, frustrated. “I’ve heard enough. I’m gone,” he said.

Draco managed to grab Ginny’s arm before she walked away. “Leave the disgrace behind and I’ll think about joining you for some experimentation sometime.”

Ginny gave him a flirtatious look that Seamus made an indignant sound at. “I thought you didn’t want to be corrupted.”

“I can handle a little corruption,” Draco said. “What doesn’t kill you, and all that rot.”

Ginny laughed, and whispered something that might have been, “Floo me tomorrow,” but it was drowned out with Seamus’s indignant tirade as he dragged her in the opposite direction.

Draco decided that maybe he was a bit too pure, and that a bout of corruption was in order.
