Due to the fact that Die Hard 4(.0?) is out, I decided a rewatching of the previous movies was in order. My personal favourite has always been no. 3, I think it is a perfect mix of cornball action movie and relatively well written script / story. Upon rewatching it though, I discovered something else it in that I could love.
There's a scene about a third of the way in where Bruce and Samuel need to get across a large part of the NY CBD in an impossibly short period of time. The movie being what it is, Bruce appropriates a taxi and begins maniacly driving through central park sending poor joggers and picnic'ers scattering in his wake.
Whilst this itself is entertaining, the truly amusing part comes as a throw-away line from Willis (Possibly Jackson, hard to tell) that is only barely audible, but definitely there. As the yellow taxi lands after being launched off a ridge that no taxi should be launched from, its shown pointed squarely at a group of people dressed in white. At this moment, very quickly, you can here one of the duo going 'Waca Waca Waca'.
The reference may not be immediately obvious to everyone reading this, but it tickled my funny bone.
